This model / M2 is tuned down a whole step as the double string is G/(F*), D/(C*), A/(G*), are tuned in octaves; The E/(D*) is not as nothing smaller than a 0.008 string and is easily found or used. You can use a regular set of mandolin strings, only needing an extra .008 to double the A/(G)* strings, the string gauges (* the actual note tuned to) being .026/.039, .015/.026, .008/.015, .011/.011
